What are mosquitoes?
Mosquitoes are small flying insects that range from 1/8 to 3/8 inch long. Their slender bodies are built around their wings and long beak that they use to pierce the skin of their victims and suck their blood. The life of a mosquito is particularly short. They typically only live for between 10 to 16 days.
When and where are mosquitoes found?

How do I reduce the risks of mosquito bites?

- Wear light colored clothing with long sleeves and pants – especially during the mosquitoes’ most active periods of dawn and dusk.
- Check screens on homes to make sure there are no holes in them and that they are properly fitted into windows.
- Eliminate all sources of standing water around your home including flower pots, tires, children’s pools. Change the water in pet water dishes daily.
